Manufacturing Test Engineer
Job Description:
This individual will develop Woven's test strategies and comprehensive test plans, including in-circuit test (ICT), functional test, burn-in and system level tests. Other areas of focus include: managing the development of test fixtures and implementation of test equipment, the deployment of manufacturing test processes into contract manufacturers and other suppliers, and evolving test automation. Technical training will be provided to engineers, technicians and test operators in test operation and debug. Product test data tracking reporting and product failure analysis will be performed to drive yield improvements and process cycle-time reductions. Product reliability assessments will be performed to drive product reliability improvement. This individual will support NPI, sustaining initiatives and ensure the successful transition of products from development to volume manufacturing; defining, driving and optimizing design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) guidelines and compliance for all new products. This position will be responsible for ensuring that test solutions continue to grow to meet the needs of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Woven's manufacturing test strategy including: Burn-In, System Test, PCBA Functional Test, Warranty Repair Diagnostic Tools/RMA, In-Circuit Test
- Develop and implement a Product Diagnostics toolset, in coordination with our Engineering group, for use in production and repair of the troubleshooting process
- Manage manufacturing test process yield improvements
- Assure the successful transition of product from development to volume manufacturing
- Develop and implement Design For Test (DFT) program content and guidelines
- Prepare short-term and long-term manufacturing test capacity plans that support volume scaling
- Well versed with developing hardware/Mfg tests (automation) to cover all real-life functions of 10 GE and high speed logic so as to catch infant mortality, defective components and manufacturing defects before units ship
- Plan capital equipment requirements for test process and procedures; also maintain software tools and diagnostics utilities for manufacturing
Qualifications:
- BSEE or MSEE
- 7 to10 years manufacturing test engineering experience
- Experience implementing test plans for boards and systems is required
- JTAG /BondryScan development & implementation experience is required
- Highly-motivated self-starter that is able to work under minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required
- Must be very detail oriented and willing to work on a "hands-on" basis to accomplish company objectives
- Must have programming skills in Linux, C and C++
- Lab Windows and LabView skills required
- Experience required in the development, deployment and support of functional test systems test, ICT, HASS, Burn-In and ORT
