Seinor Board Design Engineer

Job Description:

Senior PCB Design Engineer needed to work on existing and expanding product portfolio.  This position will involve specification, design, development and debug of state of the art high speed PCBs and systems.  Successful candidate will be able to multitask and work thoroughly but quickly through assigned tasks..

 

Responsibilities:

• Design of complex PCBs for networking hardware
• Specification and documentation of PCB design details
• Schematic capture
• PBOM/BOM generation and coordination with manufacturing
• Generation of layout guidelines and guidance of layout process at layout house
• Prototype bring-up and lab debug of design issues
• Engineering Verification and Design Test including 4 corners testing
• High speed signal integrity simulation and design
• Safety and EMC Regulatory compliance testing

 

Qualifications:

• BSEE/MSEE and 6+ years PCB design experience
• High speed design experience at frequencies > 200 MHz
• Knowledge of EMI design principles
• Good knowledge of layout and assembly DFM guidelines
• Good knowledge of DFT and JTAG principles
• Microprocessor system design experience
• CPLD design experience
• DDR/DDR2 memory design experience
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools

 

Desirable Experience:

• High speed design experience involving serdes links at 3.125 Gbps and 10.3125 Gbps
• SPICE simulation of high speed signals
• Allegro whiz
